TOGAF 9 White Paper
Biner launches a description of ADM in TOGAF® 9 in our White Paper..
TOGAF (The Open Group Architecture Framework) is the foundation to effectively managing operational development in all types of organisation.
The key to TOGAF is the Architecture Development Method (ADM), which is used to create architectural descriptions for specific business and operational requirements. ADM is a practically focused method used within TOGAF to produce organisation specific Enterprise Architecture.
One of the main purposes of TOGAF is to ensure the correct projects are started, that these have the correct foundations and that they are correctly related and connected in both IT and business terms. ADM also makes it simpler to start with a ‘proof of concept’ for a limited part of an organisation and thereafter apply the methodology in stages over larger areas of the organisation.
