The Open Group Architecture Framework (TOGAF®) is a framework and method for creating, maintaining and applying Enterprise Architecture (EA). TOGAF® is an industry standard that is available free to all organizations wishing to develop and work with EA. It has been built up over a number of years through open participation and collaboration between leading enterprise architects. EA TOGAF® creates the conditions for business to meet the increased demands for flexibility and efficiency.
The TOGAF® 9 course is divided into two parts; TOGAF® Foundation and TOGAF® Certified. Foundation covers the basics of TOGAF® 9. Certified runs deep and more into the details of the framework and method. The courses are accredited by The Open Group and follow their official requirements. After the course you have the opportunity to get certified.

The TOGAF® course consists of two parts – one e-learning part with focus on basic theory and one classroom part that delves deeper into TOGAF® and how to apply it in practice. In order for you to get even more out of the Certified course, we have now developed an extra section. In this section, the participants work together in a group solving a case/scenario. Within Scandinavia, course participants can take their certification test together with their course. In other countries, this takes place at Pearson Vue testing centres. Certification is divided into two parts, corresponding to courses Foundation (Level 1) and Certified (Level 2). Participants seeking certification in Foundation and Certified take their test on the afternoon of the final course day.
TOGAF® Foundation certification is a so-called ‘closed book’ examination, which means that participants are not allowed to use reference or other material to complete the test. The exam comprises 40 multiple-choice questions designed to test knowledge and understanding of TOGAF® 9. The exam lasts 60 minutes for those who have English as a first language and 90 minutes for other participants. Certification in the case of TOGAF® Certified is a so-called ‘open book’ examination, which means that participants are allowed to use the TOGAF® Version 9.1 book as a pdf to complete the test. The exam consists of 8 scenario based multiple-choice questions designed to test the ability to analyse scenarios and apply TOGAF® 9 knowledge. The exam lasts 90 minutes for those who have English as a first language and 135 minutes for other participants. Certified requires exam pass at Foundation level. Exams can be taken as a combined exam or separately. When applying for a course, please indicate your certification preference.
It requires no experience to attend this course. As the student begins with the basic course TOGAF® Foundation a good foundation and understanding will be build. Furtheron of the advanced course TOGAF® Certified will deepen this understanding.
